Testing Custom Workflow Activities

Hello,

I created this custom workflow activity and it does what it's supposed to do but now it takes over a minute to save a record. 

What is the best way to test the efficiency of the plugin in Visual Studio or Dynamics.  I would appreciate any links to some documentation/tutorial.

    If you're using on-premise you can install VS on the CRM Server, add the *.pdb file and *.cs files into the /assembly folder and attach the debugger to the sandbox worker threads and single-step through the execution and check for any delays.
